We encourage writers to submit contributions for Communalism. We are interested
in publishing essays on a variety of subjects, ranging from philosophy, historical
analysis, social theory, and contemporary culture critique, to radical politics
and practical organization.
We also welcome authors which do not necessarily
share the Communalist perspective, if the essay is considered to be of general
interest. We reserve the right to introduce any essay with a comment, but will
inform the author about this.
All published material is copyright © Communalism, unless anything else is explicitly stated.
If you propose to write about a subject for Communalism, please do send the editor a letter containing a precise outline of the content, and explain the importance of the subject. You should also explain your qualifications in writing about it, and refer to other works you have written. If possible, you should additionally send us a draft or a sample of the prospect essay.
Please send contributions as ordinary text documents. Mark the notes in paranthesis, and have them listed in the end. (More specific information will follow in our correspondence.) All submissions must be in English.
If you would like to review a book, please send us a simple request. All reviews must be in English.
We are trying to make the essays that appear in the journal as accessible as possible, and we therefore want to come in contact with persons that may undertake translations of the essays as they appear. If you would like to make a contribution, please contact us. If you are submitting translations of our issues, please make sure that it is properly written in HTML-code – this is very important. (It is very hard to guess where italics or subtitles should be located when we recieve things in plain text in a foreign language... and has caused us some serious delays in presenting translated version of our essays.)
Write our editor (eiglad@online.no). Please mark the email "communalism".
